Step-by-Step Guide to Applying DTF Transfers

1. Prepare Your Heat Press

• Set Temperature and Time Based on Fabric Type:
  • Cotton: 320–350°F (160–177°C) for 10–15 seconds
  • Polyester: 280–300°F (138–149°C) for 10–12 seconds
  • Cotton-Poly Blends: 310–330°F (154–166°C) for 10–15 seconds
  • Nylon: 300–320°F (149–160°C) for 8–10 seconds
• Pressure: Apply medium to firm pressure, adjusting as needed based on fabric thickness.

2. Position the Transfer

3. First Press

4. Peel the Transfer

• Wait Before Peeling: Allow approximately 5 seconds after pressing.
• Peel Hot or Cool: Depending on the fabric and preference, peel the transfer while still warm or after it has cooled slightly.
• Check Adhesion: If any part of the design hasn’t adhered, lay the transfer back down and press again, increasing the temperature by 15°F (8°C) if necessary.
