Artwork & File Requirements

Set Your Files Up for Perfect Prints.

Good files produce great patches. The most common cause of print quality issues is low-resolution artwork. Follow these guidelines and your patches will come out sharp, vibrant, and exactly as designed.

If your file needs cleanup — background removal, color adjustments, resolution upscaling — our design team can handle it at no extra charge. Leave a note at checkout.

What file format should I upload?

We accept PNG, AI, PDF, SVG, and EPS. Best results: PNG with transparent background at 300 DPI minimum. For designs with fine lines, small text, or complex shapes, vector files (AI or SVG) produce the sharpest edges. Do not mirror your artwork — upload it as-is.

Minimum 300 DPI at print size. Uploading a 72 DPI file and scaling it up will produce blurry, pixelated results. If you’re working in Canva, export as PDF for the best quality. If in Photoshop, set document resolution to 300 DPI before designing.

We print in CMYK. If your file is in RGB, colors may shift slightly when converted. For brand-critical colors, include your Pantone or CMYK codes in the order notes and our team will match them precisely. Metallic finishes use PMS screen printing for exact color reproduction.

For TPU patches with a custom die-cut edge, yes — submit a PNG with a transparent background. This tells our system where to cut. If you submit a file with a white background, the white area will become part of the patch shape. Need help removing the background? Our team can do it for free.

No problem. Leave a note in the order comments describing what you need. Our design team can clean up your artwork, remove backgrounds, adjust colors, and prepare your file for print — all at no extra charge. Alternatively, use our free Gang Sheet Builder which has a built-in design tool.
